Hello,
Welcome to Plainfield Friends (Quaker) Meeting. God the creator is part of all creation and all creation owes its being to God. During our meeting for worship each of us asks God to accept our lives, forgive our mistakes and show us what we must do to be faithful. In the silent witness of ancient wooden beams and benches, with light flowing in from all directions, we rest in the love, strength and peace (which some of us call Jesus) and find the way to heal a broken, hungry and angry world.
God’s witness has come to Friends through people of all ages, genders and ethnic backgrounds. As we seek the kingdom of God in our time, all are welcome to join us in this quest and the witness to social justice. Worship begins before 10:30 AM on Sundays (First Day) and is followed by light refreshments and conversation.
We experience God as a loving and generous Spirit – with a sense of humor. In conversations and other activities of the Meeting we share our delights and our struggles, helping one another to grow in understanding and faithfulness. We are all seekers and all seekers are welcome to join us.
